A looping illustration of one night, not a live feed. The real floor — interns working this minute, hours logged, pages filed — goes public the day the first position ships.

01The artifact

This is the entire product.

Not a dashboard you have to go and read. One page, at the hour you chose, in sentences — including the line most tools will never write: what it could not do.

  • One screen. If it needs scrolling, it failed.
  • Every claim links to where it came from.
  • “Nothing happened” is a real report, and it gets sent.

Evening report · day 14

Research assistant

What I did

Checked nine sources on the question you left last night. Two of them disagree, so I kept both rather than pick a winner.

What I found

  • — Two of your three suppliers moved delivery to the second half of next year.
  • — The cheapest quote carries a minimum order you cannot meet yet.
  • — One claim everyone repeats traces back to a single 2019 press release. I would not rely on it.

What changed since yesterday

Nothing that matters. One source moved a date by a week.

What I could not do

The third supplier's spec sheet is behind a login. I did not try to get past it, and I am not going to.

02The category

Everyone else sells the parts.

The platforms

  • ×Sells a model gateway, an agent runtime and a workspace
  • ×You assemble the worker: pick a model, wire skills, write prompts
  • ×Three metered bills — runtime, workspace, tokens
  • ×Output is a usage log: tokens, latency, spend
  • ×Everything sits behind a login. Nobody outside sees proof
  • ×Token is a coupon paid for out of the treasury

Intern AI

  • Sells a position. You hire a research assistant.
  • Three interview questions and it starts.
  • One salary and a quota you can see.
  • Output is a page, written in sentences.
  • The floor is public: hours worked, pages filed.
  • Token is paid for out of revenue, and burned.
03Positions

Two jobs are open.

Both were chosen for one reason: neither needs a password. Nothing here asks you to hand over an account.

The rack

One card per intern. Punched in every night.

RA-01Open

Research assistant

You ask at night. One page waits in the morning.

  • Reads the open web and reconciles what it finds
  • Every claim carries the link it came from
  • Contradictions reported as contradictions, never smoothed

Portfolio watch

You hand over an address. Nothing else.

  • Reads public chain state on a schedule you set
  • One paragraph each morning: what moved, what did not
  • Interrupts only when a rule you wrote is actually crossed

Refuses

Private keys, seed phrases, signing, trading — it holds no key

AD-03

Shop desk

Answers buyer questions from your catalogue, 24 hours.

IN-04

Invoice chaser

Writes it, sends it, follows up until the money lands.

CT-05

Content drafter

Three drafts a day from your own products.

PR-06

Price watch

Waits for the number you named, then tells you.

04A shift

It sleeps, so the salary can be flat.

The scheduler owns the clock, not the worker. A shift cannot extend itself, cannot keep itself alive, and cannot quietly spend more than its cap.

    Asleep

No container running. Nothing billed. Memory and standing instructions sit on disk.

  2. 02

    Wake

The scheduler fires on the worker's clock, not yours. Roughly two seconds to restore memory.

  3. 03

    Work

Gathers, reconciles, writes, checks its own claims. Capped in minutes and in spend.

  4. 04

    File

One page, delivered and archived. Hours and pages posted to the floor.

  5. 05

    Asleep

Back to zero cost until the next shift. Sleep is what makes a flat salary survivable.

Shift cap

Every shift capped in wall-clock minutes and in spend

Isolation

One container per shift, non-root, destroyed at shift end

Scheduler owns time

A worker cannot keep itself alive or extend its own shift

Buys & burns

$3.80

20% of this payment buys Intern AI on the market and burns it

A model of the published pricing, not a quote. There is no unlimited plan — an unlimited plan is either throttled in secret or priced for the worst customer.

06Intern AI · $INTERN

Two rules. That is the whole design.

20%

of every dollar of net revenue buys Intern AI on the open market and burns it.

Rule 01

Pay in Intern AI, pay less

Twenty percent off any salary, applied at checkout against the live price. No staking, no wrapping, no lock, no waiting period. The discount is capped at twenty-five percent forever — above that the business stops paying for itself.

Rule 02

Every salary burns something

Twenty percent of net revenue buys Intern AI on the open market and burns it. Salaries already paid in Intern AI are burned directly. Every burn posts its transaction hash to a public counter — including the months when the number is small.

Intern AI burned to date

000,000,000

An honest zero. There is no revenue yet, so there is nothing to burn — the counter starts the day the first salary is paid, and every burn will post its transaction hash here.

What it may never do

  • ×Never buys a better page — output is identical at every tier
  • ×No staking ladder: no stake, wrap, mint, seven-day wait
  • ×No governance theatre
  • ×No promotional credit window that expires and leaves the token with nothing to do

07What we never ask for

The refusals are the product.

No keys. Ever.

Portfolio watch stores a public address and nothing else. There is no private key in the system, so the product cannot move funds — by construction, not by policy.

No passwords in the MVP.

Positions that would need your accounts are deferred until scoped, revocable consent exists. We would rather ship two honest positions than six that hold your credentials.

Idle is reported idle.

A shift that found nothing files a page that says nothing happened. Padding a quiet day into a paragraph is the failure we police hardest.

08Figures, stated honestly

Pre-launch, and we say so.

09Roadmap

Each phase has an exit test.

A phase does not end because time passed. It ends when its test passes — which is why the token sits in phase three and not phase zero.

  1. Phase 0 · here now

    The front door

    • Job board and the floor
    • Interview questions live in the waitlist
    • Brand locked

exit — 100 people finish the three-question interview

  2. Phase 1

    The first position

    • Research assistant running nightly
    • Scheduler, worker lifecycle, report renderer
    • Free trial only — no payment code

exit — 50 interns on staff, 40% of owners reply to a page

  3. Phase 2

    Getting paid

    • Portfolio watch
    • Card and stablecoin checkout, quota ledger
    • Shared pages and team seats

    exit — 100 paying accounts, month-2 retention above 60%

  4. Phase 3

    Intern AI

    • Intern AI ($INTERN) launches on the chain's launchpad
    • Pay-in-token discount at live price
    • Buyback, burn, public counter

exit — gated: does not start until Phase 2 passes

  5. Phase 4

    Proof and staff

    • Watch the shift as it happens
    • Positions chosen by holder vote
    • Scoped credential vault

    exit — 1,000 paying accounts

10The record

Why it is built this way.

01

Sell a position, not a platform

“Research assistant” needs no explanation. “Agent runtime” loses everyone outside the industry.

02

One salary, hard quota

Three metered bills is why this category cannot sell to normal people. The quota is what makes a flat price survivable.

03

A page of sentences, not a dashboard

A dashboard makes the owner do the work. A page does the work.

04

Two positions that need no credentials

Nothing in the first release asks for a password or a key. Fastest path to trust.

05

Public floor from day one

The category's fatal flaw is invisibility. Proof of work is distribution.

06

Token after paying customers

A burn counter is only credible when there is revenue to burn.

07

Discount and burn, nothing else

Ladders are where token utility goes to die. Two rules fit on one line.

What works in our favour

  • +Nobody in the category sells a job — they sell infrastructure and ask you to assemble a worker
  • +After a month the intern holds your standing instructions, your archive and your taste
  • +Every page is a shareable artifact with a footer; the product markets itself in your words
  • +Publishing refusals is a moat against every competitor that does ask for keys

What could kill it

  • !The hard parts — scheduling, memory, cost control — are reproducible. The technology is not the moat
  • !Model costs rising faster than the quota can absorb. The sleep cycle and per-shift cap exist for this
  • !A platform with distribution copies the position framing before we are known
  • !Boring pages. Nothing survives boring pages, and that is a writing problem before an engineering one

What we watch

  • Reply rate — did the page earn a one-line answer
  • Day-30 retention
  • Pages per account per week
  • Share rate
  • Cost per page
  • Burned per $1,000 of revenue

What we refuse to report

  • Signups
  • Page views
  • “AI tasks completed”
11Questions

Before you hire one.

What exactly arrives?+

One page, at the hour you chose. What it did, what it found, what changed since yesterday, and what it could not do. Sentences, not metrics. The numbers and the source list live behind a details toggle.

Do you need my passwords?+

No. The two positions available at launch need nothing but a subject and, for portfolio watch, a public wallet address. Positions that would need an account are deferred until scoped, revocable consent is built.

Can it move my funds?+

No. There is no private key anywhere in the system. Portfolio watch reads public chain state and writes a paragraph. It has nothing to sign with.

What happens when the quota runs out?+

The intern says so on the page and stops. Extra pages cost fifty cents each if you want them. There is no unlimited plan, because an unlimited plan would either be throttled in secret or priced for the worst customer.

Why is Intern AI not live yet?+

Because a burn counter with no revenue behind it is exactly the thing we are trying not to be. Intern AI ($INTERN) launches after there are paying customers, and the counter starts at an honest zero.

What does Intern AI actually do?+

Two things. Salaries paid in Intern AI cost twenty percent less, and twenty percent of net revenue buys the token back and burns it. It never buys a better page.

Can I read what my intern remembers?+

Yes. One button exports everything it knows about you as plain text, and one button deletes it for good.

Intern AI · $INTERN · contract address

Pre-launch

To be announced.

The token launches after there are paying customers, so there is nothing to buy yet. This card is where the address will be printed — until it is, any contract claiming to be Intern AI is a fake.

Verify the address against this page and the project's own channels before sending anything.

By morning, there is a page

Your first hire clocks in tonight.

Pick a position, answer three questions, and read the first page tomorrow evening. If it is not worth reading, dismiss it — the whole trial costs an email.
